Series 10

The Signing

Multi-week documentary format. One creator signing, filmed as a 3-4 week arc. Episode 1 = the DM / cold outreach. Episode 2 = the call. Episode 3 = the signing. Episode 4 = first brand pitch. Episode 5 = deal closes.

Why this pattern works in 2026

Serialized storytelling is the strongest retention mechanic in 2026 short-form because the follow behavior is load-bearing (viewers follow to see part 2). The MrBeast production bible calls this the "sequence" asset, a single series that trains the algorithm that your account is a show. Also: multi-week arcs turn one signing into 5+ posts, which is the highest content-per-asset ratio in the series bible.

Reference creators

MrBeast
@mrbeast

Niche + offer. Not direct, but the production reference for serialized content. Leaked production doc at `~/growth-operating/alex-gunnar/references/mrbeast-production-doc.md`.

Why relevant. His framing of "a video is a story, not a lesson" is the direct antidote to guru-style short form. Alex should borrow his retention-graph approach per episode.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube: any series arc (survival, money challenges). Steal: the "what happens next" cliffhanger before the ad slot, use the same beat before your CTA.
Jake Tran
@jaketran

Niche + offer. See series 3.

Why relevant. Documentary-style business storytelling. The calm, narrator-led delivery is a better fit for operator content than MrBeast's intensity.

  • ·YouTube: any multi-part business investigation. Steal: the visual grammar of archival footage + voiceover, translate to screen recordings + voiceover.
Sebastian Ghiorghiu
@sebastianghiorghiu

Niche + offer. See series 2.

Why relevant. He has run multi-episode vlog series that track a real business decision across weeks. Aesthetic is already adjacent to Miami operator.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube: "I tried to build a $10k/month business in 30 days" vlog. Steal: the day-by-day on-screen counter (Day 1, Day 4, Day 12).
Biaheza
@biaheza

Niche + offer. See series 4.

Why relevant. His "I started a dropshipping store in 24 hours" series is the short-arc documentary blueprint. Shorter than MrBeast, still serialized.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube: 24-hour / 30-day challenge series. Steal: the cold open of Episode 2 recaps Episode 1 in 5 seconds so new viewers can enter.

Alex's variant

Episode 1 of The Signing. I just sent this cold DM to a 67k-follower skincare creator I have never met. Over the next four weeks I will film every step, the DM, the first call, the roster contract, the first brand pitch, and the first closed deal. If I pull this off, comment ROSTER and I will send you the full 4-episode playbook." 45s Reel. Screen recording of the DM being sent. On-screen timer: "Day 1 of 30." Pinned comment: "Episode 2 drops next Friday, follow so you catch it.
