Series 3

$X,XXX without [Y]

The authority-stack hook. Specific outcome, two or three explicit "withouts" that are pre-framed objections. Short-form only, heavy rotation.

Why this pattern works in 2026

Under-30 operator audiences convert on *density of specifics*, not titles. Stacking three "withouts" removes three objections at once and pattern-interrupts the scroll because the second "without" is unexpected. Cheap to produce, highest CPM-per-second of any hook format Alex can ship.

Reference creators

Hormozi
@hormozi

Niche + offer. Acquisition.com, see series 1.

Why relevant. He invented the modern "without" stack in the creator-business niche. "How to get rich without a platform, without a product, without a list" is literally a Hormozi line.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube Short: "How to get rich without being famous". Steal: three "withouts" visible as on-screen subtitles that land in sync with the voice.
  • ·IG Reel: "$100M without VC". Steal: the number-first, then the stack.
Leila Hormozi
@leilahormozi

Niche + offer. Acquisition.com CEO, operator content. $0 direct offer, feeder into the brand.

Why relevant. She runs the same "without" frame with a more managerial tone and a female-operator lens, different creator archetype, same structure.

Reference posts
  • ·IG Reel: "I built a $100M company without ever raising a round." Steal: credential-drop on-screen (the company valuation) while the voice stays humble.
  • ·YouTube Short: "What I did not do." Steal: inverting the stack into negatives.
Mark Tilbury
@marktilbury

Niche + offer. Finance-education creator, high-view short form, mid-ticket courses.

Why relevant. He runs the "$X without Y" format in a different niche at massive scale. Clean edit language, very copy-able pacing.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube Short: "I made a million without a college degree". Steal: the one-word on-screen emphasis (the single word bold and underlined as the voice hits it).
  • ·IG Reel: "How to retire at 30 without trading". Steal: the three-shot edit rhythm (face → on-screen number → b-roll).
Jake Tran
@jaketran

Niche + offer. Business-breakdown creator, documentary-style, mostly YouTube, subscription community.

Why relevant. His narrative "without" structure is long-form-native but the hooks translate to short-form.

Reference posts
  • ·YouTube: "How this guy made $1B without investors". Steal: the documentary restraint, no guru energy, which reads as credible to a sophisticated buyer.
  • ·YouTube Short cutdown. Steal: the cold open that runs 7 seconds of b-roll before any talking.

Alex's variant

"I closed $380k in brand deals last quarter, without an agent background, without a follower count, without a single connection in LA. Comment ROSTER, I will DM you the exact pitch email I used for my first five closes." 30s Reel. Frame 1 = the dollar on-screen in the top-left, Alex talking head on the right. Each "without" = one hard cut to a different proof artifact (LinkedIn showing ZoomInfo tenure, IG follower-count screenshot from 2023, a blank LA-contacts list).
